Mitch Pileggi — best known as Walter Skinner on ‘The X-Files’ — will officially be returning to the show for the six-episode reboot coming from FOX.
Pileggi announced the news on Twitter.

The series will star original series regulars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson with show creator Chris Carter back on board to run the show.
Pileggi starred in the original series from 1994 until 2002 at FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner where he acted as the lead liaison at the organization for Mulder and Scully.
The new ‘X-Files’ series will run for a six-episode event with production likely kicking off later this year.
