Another cast member has been added to ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ as a new actor plays Nightcrawler in the upcoming film….
‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ director Bryan Singer announced via Instagram on Tuesday that a new actor has been cast to play Kurt Wagner aka Nightcrawler in the upcoming sequel in the X-Men universe.
Kodi Smit-McPhee — best known for his roles in ‘Let Me In’ and ‘The Road’ — will play the blue skinned mutant in the upcoming X-Men sequel, which features iconic villain Apocalypse on screen for the first time ever.
In the previous X-Men films, Nightcrawler was played by veteran actor Alan Cumming, but with the new movie set in the 1980’s, a new, younger version of the character was required.
‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ arrives in theaters on May 27, 2016.
