The new ‘Sons of Anarchy’ comic called ‘Redwood Original’ will show how Jax Teller went from prospect to full fledged member…
A new ‘Sons of Anarchy’ comic book set for release this Wednesday, August 10 will kick off ‘Redwood Original’ — from BOOM! Studios — which tells the story about an 18-year old Jax Teller fresh out of high school, determined to join the outlaw biker club that his father helped found.
When ‘Sons of Anarchy’ debuted, Jax was already the vice president of the Redwood Original chapter, but the new comic book — with direct supervision from creator Kurt Sutter — will dig into the story about how he became a member in the first place.
The story features many of the famous characters from ‘Sons of Anarchy’ including Jax’s mother Gemma as well as his stepfather Clay Morrow, who is now in charge of the MC.
Jax’s journey from prospect to full fledged member will be chronicled in the new series as this ‘Sons of Anarchy’ comic book touches on a part of the mythology behind the series that’s never been told before.
‘Sons of Anarchy’ fans can also look forward to ‘Mayans MC’ — a spinoff series focused on the Latino motorcycle club featured in thes how — which is currently being developed by Sutter for FX.
There are still persistent rumors that Sutter will also eventually go back in time to a ‘Sons of Anarchy’ prequel, which will showcase Jax’s father John Teller as he returns home from Vietnam and opens the first chapter of the motorcycle club.
For now, the new ‘Sons of Anarchy’ comic — Redwood Original — will tell another part of the mythology as Jax takes center stage once again. The first issue of ‘Sons of Anarchy: Redwood Original’ will land in comic book stores on Wednesday.
