The Walking Dead continues to do what no cable shows have done previously and they even managed to beat the Winter Olympics this week…
Going head to head with a nationally televised sports event is sometimes like trying to fight off a herd of zombies while armed with a gun and no bullets. In other words the battle doesn’t last very long.
The Walking Dead is proving otherwise, however, as they posted another insane rating on Sunday night drawing in a whopping 15.8 million viewers with 10.4 million adults in the coveted 18-49 demographic.
Now in overall viewers, the Winter Olympics still won the night — but in terms of television ratings and advertiser dollars, The Walking Dead wins by a large margin by taking the 18-49 demographic on Sunday.
The 15.8 million viewers also mark the second best ratings ever for The Walking Dead on AMC.
The juggernaut hit series returns next Sunday night with seven more episodes to go in the fourth season.
