First Look at Ben Affleck’s Batman Cowl from ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ (PHOTO)

In a rare treat, DC revealed the look of the new Batman cowl that will be worn by Ben Affleck in the upcoming movie ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice’….

The movie won’t be out until 2016, but the first major teaser for ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ was revealed at San Diego Comic Con this week with the release of the Batman cowl that will be worn by Ben Affleck in the upcoming movie.

Now you’ll notice the cowl is black, which is similar to all other iterations of Batman out there from Michael Keaton to Christian Bale. Rumors have persisted for months that this version of Batman will be based on the version from Frank Miller’s iconic book ‘The Dark Knight Returns’ and the outfit would feature the classic blue and gray Batman suit that hasn’t been shown in the movies since the 1960’s version with Adam West.

The colors could be a way to throw off fans seeing the cowl at the convention or then again, director Zack Snyder could be keeping the black color theme as the other movies had as well.
