Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 and 2 Will Be Re-Titled to New Names

The minds behind the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War films admit they don’t really like the title and plan on renaming it before the movie is released…..

There’s little doubt that the Russo brothers — Joe and Anthony — have done wonders for the Marvel Cinematic Universe with their work on Captain America: The Winter Soldier as well as the upcoming Captain America: Civil War film.

In fact the brother tandem did such a great job that Marvel hired them to helm the next two Avengers movies, which are expected to be one of the most ambitious projects in the history of the studio.

Avengers: Infinity War parts one and two are expected to bring every element of the Marvel Cinematic Universe together over the course of two films, but the Russo brothers recently revealed that they didn’t particularly care for the titles of the movies.

In a recent interview, Anthony and Joe revealed that the two movies are “very different” and the title that makes it appear to be one gigantic film split in half is “misleading”.

So now with the Russo brothers beginning to focus on those films in the very near future, they have decided that Avengers: Infinity Wars will get an entirely new title before they are ready to release them to the world.

“The intention is we will change it, we just haven’t come up with the titles yet,” Joe Russo said. “But, yes, we will change it. And, yes, that is a scoop: we will re-title them.”

The change of titles could be a good thing for the franchise, especially if movie goers aren’t walking into the first film and expecting it to end without any sense of finality.

Many other franchises have suffered when a film is titled “part one” because it automatically lets viewers know that when they leave the theater, that won’t be the conclusion of the story.

Obviously the two Avengers films will connect but how that happens remains to be seen.

What we do now know is that Avengers: Infinity War will be called something different by the time the Russo brothes begin filming the project with release dates already scheduled for May 4, 2018 for the first movie with the second scheduled for May 3, 2019.

What should the new Avengers movies be called instead?

How about Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet and Avengers: Infinity War?
