More good news for Banshee fans as the show has been renewed for season 4…

The hit show, which debuted in 2013, will return to Cinemax for a fourth season in 2016. That season will shoot in Pittsburgh, Pa and consist of eight episodes, it was announced today by president of HBO Miniseries and Cinemax programming, Kary Antholis.
According to the Cinemax press release the fourth season will be executive produced by Alan Ball, Greg Yaitanes, Jonathan Tropper, Peter Macdissi, Adam Targum and Ole Christian Madsen, and returning cast and crew will be announced when they are confirmed.
Banshee stars Antony Star (“Wish You Were Here”) as Lucas Hood, an ex-con and master thief who assumes the identity of the Sheriff of Banshee, Pa, where his brand of justice raises for than a few eye brows.
The Emmy-winning show also stars Ivana Milicevic (“HBO’s Mind of the Married Man”) as Carrie Hopewell, Hoods former flame, who is also a thief. She lived in Banshee under an assumed identity until Hood came calling.
In addition to Star and Milicevic, the main cast is rounded out by Ulrich Thomsen (“The Celebration”) as Kai Proctor, the wealthy businessman/resident criminal, who operates above the law and bumps heads with Hood on many an occasion;
Frankie Faison (“HBO’s The Wire”) as Sugar Bates, an ex-con and former boxer, who owns a local watering hole, The Forge and is a Hood confidant and voice of reason. And Hoon Lee (“The Blacklist”) as Job, a transvestite computer hacker, who worked with both Hood and Carrie from years past.
The show is currently in in its third season with episode six due this Friday at 10PM ET.
