Ben Affleck is contractually committed to appear as Batman in at least two more movies but he might add a third with a solo script he’s finished…
Ben Affleck is on board to play Batman for quite some time with his contract at Warner Bros. running for at least two more movies — Justice League Parts One and Two — but that may not be the last time he dawns the cape and cowl as the Dark Knight.
In addition to a cameo Affleck filmed as part of the upcoming Suicide Squad movie, he’s also worked on a script for a solo Batman movie that he may film in the future.
“He’s contracted to do at least Justice League One and Two, so at least three times wearing the cape. There’s a script that he’s written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that’s out there as an option,” said Affleck’s agent Patrick Whitesell said recently.
It’s been rumored for some time that Affleck was teaming up with DC writer and executive Geoff Johns on a solo Batman film, but it appears he’s already far along in the process of finishing a screenplay.
There have been mixed reviews thus far of Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice where Affleck makes his first appearance as the Caped Crusader.
That being said, Affleck has received mostly positive responses to his portrayal as Batman/Bruce Wayne and it looks like he’ll stick with the role for at least a few more movies.
