It looks like Deathstroke will be making his big screen debut as part of the solo Batman movie written and directed by Ben Affleck…
Ben Affleck dropped a major teaser on Tuesday when he released a video with no sound that featured the first onscreen introduction of famed DC villain Deathstroke.
Affleck didn’t release the video with any kind of caption but he really didn’t have to say much of anything after the iconic black and orange helmet was unleashed on screen.

In even more news, according to The Wrap — Affleck teasing Deathstroke’s arrival wasn’t an accident and it certainly wasn’t a teaser for the upcoming ‘Justice League’ movie but instead a hint about what’s coming soon from the solo Batman movie he’s directing and co-writing alongside DC chief Geoff Johns.
It appears Deathstroke will be the featured villain that will oppose Batman as Affleck will portray the character in a solo movie after the upcoming ‘Justice League’ movie finishes filming later this year.
Deathstroke — real name Slade Wilson — was a character first created in 1980 as an antagonist to the Teen Titans before later doing battle with Batman and a host of other DC characters. Deathstroke was originally a member of the U.S. military, who was later imbibed with special abilities courtesy of the government in an attempt to create metahuman super soldiers. After leaving the military, Deathstroke became a mercenary for hire and master assassin.
There’s no word yet on who might actually play Deathstroke in the feature film version of the character, but now we know for a fact that he will be a central figure in the DC Extended Universe. From the teaser released by Affleck on Tuesday, it would seem he might make his first appearance as a cameo in the ‘Justice League’ movie before going toe-to-toe with Batman in a solo film in the future.
