Ben Affleck is still working on the script for his solo ‘Batman’ movie but it looks like he has a name picked out….
There are still a few unknowns about Ben Affleck’s upcoming solo Batman movie that he’s writing alongside DC chief Geoff Johns, but it appears the film has a name.
‘The Batman’.
That’s according to Affleck in a new interview with the Associated Press, although he cautions that the title might change at some point down the road. Considering the attention his interview is getting right now, it’s hard to imagine the title would shift but anything is possible.
“The movie I think is going to be called ‘The Batman’,” Affleck revealed. “At least that’s what we’re going with right now. I might change it. That’s about all I got right now. We’re working on the script, the script is going well, I’m really excited about it.”
There’s not much known about the script that Affleck is penning for ‘The Batman’ outside of Deathstroke as the main villain set to oppose him in the film.
‘True Blood’ star Joe Manganiello has already been cast in the role of Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke in the upcoming ‘Batman’ solo feature.
DC and Warner Bros. haven’t made any official announcement about when ‘The Batman’ will land in theaters or when the movie will begin filming, but the pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together.
‘The Batman’ will be the first solo film about the Caped Crusader since Christopher Nolan wrapped up his ‘Dark Knight’ trilogy with ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, which was released in 2012.
