Following just one shortened season, ‘Constantine’ has been cancelled at NBC….
‘Constantine’ will not live again.
The show starring Matt Ryan as demon hunter John Constantine based on the DC and Vertigo comic book ‘Hellblazer’ will not receive a second season at NBC after being cancelled on Friday.
The show was barely hanging on by a thread all season long after ratings for the series were far below expectation, although buried in a Friday night time slot certainly didn’t help.
Hardcore fans of the show had been petitioning on Twitter for weeks to save the series, but it appears the first season is all there will be.
The show ran for 13 episodes in total after originally expected to go longer until NBC abruptly pulled the show and cut the number of episodes.
Now ‘Constantine’ is officially gone forever.
