Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will get the whole band back together because the original cast is officially on board for the sequel…
The upcoming sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy appropriately titled Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 won’t be out in theaters until May 5, 2017 but the good news is everybody from the first film will be back for the second.
The news comes courtesy of Guardians director James Gunn, who confirmed the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
While it’s no secret that Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista were already on board to return for the sequel, no one knew for sure about Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper, who both did voiceover work for the first movie but didn’t actually appear in person in the movie.
You can sleep well tonight because Diesel will be Grooting it up once again in the sequel while Cooper will reprise his role as gun toting mini-hero Rocket Raccoon.

Filming on the sequel isn’t expected to start until next year, but Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will definitely be one of the most highly anticipated films coming out in 2017.
