It looks like Iron Man will be teaming up with Spider-Man for a second time as Robert Downey Jr. joins Spider-Man: Homecoming…
One of the best parts about Marvel sharing creativity over Spider-Man in the movies is the potential crossovers with the rest of the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
First, the new Spider-Man — played by Tom Holland — will debut in Captain America: Civil War out in two weeks and then the crossovers continue with Robert Downey Jr. officially signing on to star in the new film Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Downey will reprise his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man for the upcoming movie that will see Spider-Man back in high school with a much younger take on the character than past versions in the movies.

There are no details on the plot or the rest of the cast for the movie outside of Marisa Tomei on board to play Aunt May and Disney star Zendaya.
But now we know for sure that Iron Man will crossover from Captain America: Civil War to then appear in Spider-Man: Homecoming, which is due out on July 7, 2017.
Marvel now shares in the creativity rights for Spider-Man along with Sony, who has controlled the character for many years when it came to feature films.
But after a couple of lackluster efforts in the last two films distributed by Sony, the movie studio decided it was time to team up with Marvel to bring Spider-Man home to the comic book universe where he started.
Now Spider-Man can crossover to any number of Marvel movies while it looks like plenty of Marvel characters will be showing up in the web crawler’s as well.
