Donald Glover won’t be playing Spider-Man but he’ll still get a role in the upcoming film Spider-Man: Homecoming….
At one time not too long ago, actor and rapper Donald Glover was mounting an impressive campaign to land the lead role in a new Spider-Man movie that was being produced by Sony and Marvel together for the first time.
Ultimately, the role went to Tom Holland, who will now play the webslinger in the upcoming movie Spider-Man: Homecoming directed by Jon Watts.
The good news is Glover has now joined the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming in an undisclosed role that will see the actor join the likes of Michael Keaton as The Vulture and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May for the film due out on July 7, 2017.
There’s still a lot of mystery surrounding the new Spider-Man sequel but Glover is the latest addition to a growing cast of characters that will also include Robert Downey Jr., who will reprise his role as Tony Stark in the upcoming movie.
Glover is obviously a Spider-Man fan and now he’ll be involved in the upcoming movie as we all wait to find out what part he’ll be playing.
