The cast for Spider-Man: Homecoming is getting awfully crowded with a huge list of supporting stars added recently….
Spider-Man: Homecoming is already one of the most highly anticipated films for 2017 with Sony and Marvel teaming up for the first time to reboot the web-slinger with a younger twist as Tom Holland takes over the role after first debuting in Captain America: Civil War.
Now Holland will lead his own film alongside Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Michael Keaton as The Vulture and Robert Downey Jr. stopping by as Tony Stark for an appearance in the new Spider-Man movie.
Last week it was reported that actor/rapper Donald Glover was also joining the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming and ever since that announcement, a slew of new co-stars have been added to the project. Take a look below to see all the new faces joining Spider-Man: Homecoming, with filming already underway in Atlanta.
Kenneth Choi — best known for his roles in Sons of Anarchy as well as The People vs. OJ Simpson — has been cast as Peter Parker’s high school principal.
Martin Starr — best known for playing Gilfoyle on the popular HBO series Silicon Valley — has joined the cast in an unknown role although it appears he’ll be playing one of Peter’s teachers.
J.J. Totah — best known for Glee and Jessie — will play one of Peter’s classmates
Hannibal Buress — comedian who has also appeared on the FX series Louie.
Abraham Attah — best known for his role in Beasts of No Nations — will play one of Peter’s classmates
Michael Mando — best known for Better Call Saul — cast in an undisclosed role.
Bokeem Woodbine — fresh off a villainous role on FX’s hit series Fargo — will be playing a villain in this movie as well.
Logan Marshall-Green — best known for roles in The O.C. as well as 24 — has been cast as another villain in the movie.
That’s all the casting news for now but it’s clear Spider-Man: Homecoming will be filled to the brim with familiar faces as Sony and Marvel get ready to relaunch the series with a fresh new look from director Jon Watts.
Spider-Man: Homecoming lands in theaters on July 7, 2017.
