The new ‘Star Wars’ series called ‘The Mandalorian’ that’s being headed up by Jon Favreau has just released a photo and a list of directors as production gets underway…
The first look at Jon Favreau’s new ‘Star Wars’ series titled ‘The Mandalorian’ has arrived.
After the writer and director released a synopsis for the series that will follow a lone gunfighter in a time period set after the fall of the Galactic Empire but before the rise of the New Order, he’s now also unveiled the first photo.
If the armor looks familiar, that’s because the series is focused around a Mandalorian character, which is the same race of warriors responsible for Jango and Boba Fett.
In addition to the first photo being released, the directors working on ‘The Mandalorian’ have also been revealed including a favorite from the Marvel Cinematic Universe jumping over to ‘Star Wars’.
Taika Waititi — best known for his work on last year’s ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ — will be one of the directors working on ‘The Mandarlorian’ during the first season. Actress Bryce Dallas Howard will also go behind the camera for the series as well as Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones) and Rick Famuyiwa (Dope).
Dave Filoni, who has previously worked on ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ and ‘Star Wars: Rebels’, will be in charge of directing the first episode of the series.
Production on the series has officially kicked off with ‘The Mandalorian’ expected to debut on the new Disney streaming service sometime in 2019.
