VIDEO: ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor’ Teaser Trailer Released, Series Set to Debut in October

The first look at “The Haunting of Bly Manor” has arrived ahead of the series debut on Netflix in October…

“The Haunting of Bly Manor” — from the same team that created “The Haunting of Hill House” — will officially arrive on Netflix on Oct. 9 and the first teaser trailer was released this week.

Series creator Mike Flanagan loosely based the concept for the latest anthology on the 1898 horror novella “The Turn of the Screw” by Henry James. While many of the same actors will appear in “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” the new series is not connected to “The Haunting of Hill House” in any way and this is being treated as a completely new story.

Here’s the official synopsis for the show:

“The story tells of a young governess hired by a man to look after his niece and nephew at the family country house after they fall into his care. Arriving at the Bly estate, she begins to see apparitions that proceed to haunt the premises.”

All nine episodes will drop on Netflix on Oct. 9, just in time for Halloween month. Take a look at the first teaser trailer and expect a full trailer to arrive in the next few weeks.
